The 2018/2019 season turned Cédric's previous racing life upside down. After more than 600 FIS and about 45 European Cup races, he scored his first Giant Slalom World Cup points in his 2nd World Cup event. With the fourth place in Kranjska Gora he entered the world elite. And six placings in seven events in the top 30 in the 2019/20 season prove that his rise was no coincidence.
Growing up far away from the mountains in Wil in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland, there was little to indicate his potential at first. But little by little his racing instinct developed and after attending the sports high school in Davos, the supposed breakthrough followed in 2013. But the following seasons were a tough battle with many downs and only a few ups, but apparently he had to learn from this hard lesson.
