For David Aberer, movement in nature has always been important—whether it's touring, mountain biking or running. However, he did not immediately discover competitive sports. At age 15, he began national and international cross-country bike races. For the first time he sniffed the competitive air in ski mountaineering and was immediately impressed in the sport.
Now, ski mountaineering is his passion. He loves the challenge of pushing himself to his performance limits, but also the challenge of constantly improving at skiing.
