"I’m an alpinist first and foremost so my skis need to be light, strong, predictable and able to endure anything I throw at them. I ski the TX’s 95% of the time with an occasional day on the FX thrown in there when I’m stepping past my comfort zone and I need that extra confidence."
While better known for his mountaineering accomplishments, Steve House is also an avid skier and guide. When not chasing climbing pursuits, he can be found on skis in the Alaska Range, the San Juan Mountains in Southwest Colorado and the Austrian Alps.
In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Steve is also a coach and author of Beyond the Mountain and Training for the New Alpinism.
