“WHERE I COME FROM, IT’S NOT JUST THE MOUNTAIN SCENERY THAT IS BREATHTAKING BUT THE WHOLE PACKAGE – THE SKIING CONDITIONS ARE SECOND-TO-NONE AND THE POSSIBILITIES ENDLESS. THAT’S WHY I NEED SKIS THAT ARE FLEXIBLE AND LIVELY YET STABLE AND DAMP. MY FAVOURITE SKIS, KÄSTLE’S BMX105 HP, TICK ALL THE BOXES AND SO I TAKE THEM ON ALL OF MY ADVENTURES.”

BIO

Dennis Risvoll comes from a little village in the middle of Norway, on the edge of the Jotunheimen National Park. The area is home to 250 mountains, including Galdhøpiggen (2,469 m) the highest peak in the whole of Scandinavia. So, it’s hardly surprising that 31-year-old father of one, Dennis, has dedicated his life to skiing. From an early age he was mentored by some of the craziest and most skilled extreme sports athletes. In 2006 he was named ‘Rookie of the year’ at the Røldal Freeride Challenge.

He wowed the crowds and the judges with his backflip, earning him the nickname of ‘the backflip king’. He spent the early part of his career mainly competing in Scandinavian freeride competitions, building up points for the Freeride World Tour. He went on to become the first male Norwegian skier to win an FWT stage at Røldal, Norway. In 2016, he repeated this success in Fieberbrunn, Austria.
