BIO

Ilka is a member of the A squad of the Slovenian Ski Team and has been considered an all-round talent in the Alpine ski circus for 10 years. Although her career has been marked by many serious injuries, she looks back proudly on her successes. In the 2016/17 season, she won her first World Cup race in her favorite discipline - downhill - in Val d'Isere. There, she claimed her second victory in the Alpine combination the very next day. That same winter, she won the gold medal in downhill at the World Ski Championships in St. Moritz.

She was able to defend this title two years later in Are. In her first race after the World Championships, the downhill of Crans-Montana on February 23, 2019, Ilka crashed. While she was still able to ski to the finish on her own, she again seriously injured her knee. After her rehab, Ilka has been contracted with us since mid-May 2022 and would like to build on her great successes once again with the Kästle Family.
