BIO

Katrin Hirtl-Stanggaßinger a German ski racer and specializes in the disciplines downhill and super-G.

At the age of 16, she competed in FIS races for the first time. A little later, she made her European Cup debut in the Super-G in Davos on February 16, 2015. The following winter, she took part in the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, where she won the bronze medal in Combination and the silver medal in Giant Slalom. In March, she secured another silver medal in Combination at the Junior World Championships in Sochi.

At the end of the season, she crowned herself German champion in Giant Slalom. In the 2016/17 season, she succeeded in scoring points regularly in the European Cup and ranked among the extended top field.  Katrin made her World Cup debut on October 22, 2016 in Giant Slalom in Sölden. Three years later, she gained her first World Cup points in lake Louise in Super G.
